New Year (Al Hijri) The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research announced that the Islamic New Year, which falls on the first day of Muharram, will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019.It is scheduled to be the legitimate vision of the crescent of the month of Muharram on Friday, August 30, corresponding to the end of the month of Dhul-Hijjah. The year 1441 AH commemorates the memory of the emigration of our Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, from Mecca to Medina after being abused by the people of Mecca, and thus, the day of the migration of the Prophet in the month of Muharram was the beginning of a new era for the Islamic nation The date of the beginning of the new Hijri year The beginning of the Hijri year is a religious occasion celebrated by millions of Muslims around the world, and to congratulate each other and pray on the New Year’s Eve to be a happy year and the fulfillment of hopes for every Muslim.
